The Halflings had dug deep in their pockets, and brought an (un)expected chef to todays game. To the delight of Nuffle, and everyone else. Unfortunately the treemen ate too much, and both were rooted by the end of turn two. The goblin troll, Bugga did a lot better, while Ugga took a few turns to tie his laces in the backfield. It looked like the goblins were about to swarm the slower halflings, but the Hin were just biding their time. Waiting for the goblins to fail a dodge-blitz, and tossed number six downfield for a score.
The next drive, Chris Pilsen had mounted a pair of Stilettos, but were only given a single opportunity to use them before biting the dust. There was just not enough players left on the field to catch up with the goblin who made the 1-1 TD, round 8.
During second half nobody seemed to be able to hold on to the ball at all. It scattered all about, but after two Both Downs in a row, in front of the goblin TDZ, Veggen managed to wobble across the line, turn 5.
The goblins were discouraged, and did not see much hope without any dirty tricksters on the field, but due to the low amount of players left, and a fair bit of luck, they somehow managed to run the ball across the entire pitch in three turns, ending the game 2-2, turn 16. |
