This must have been the first match where the majority of fans came to see the Rangers instead of the Eagles. The Green Ranger's coach was relatively sceptical to this, stating that the crowd probably only came for the carnage, considering the rather high falloff from the teams' roster. The crowd certainly got what they came for.
But it wasn't during the first half, which was slooow. The elves started on defence, and a wardancer leap got the ball free, into the crowd, and tossed back into the khornites TDZ. making a fast turn three score. It seemed that the half would end 1-0, to the elves. As of khorne turn 8, the Rangers side-stepper, created a whole bunch of trouble, refusing to go down, or leave the ball carrier. Luckily for chaos, khorne was pleased, and the burly number twelve dodged away, showing those elves how it's done.
The Rangers actually ended this first half with more rerolls than when they started. Not failing a single roll.
Nuffle gives and Nuffle taketh away, and alas, the second half was a horrible mess for the elves. Double ones, and double skulls galore. And the casualties kept rolling in. Including another death. The apothecary came out on the field, and put the poor player out of his misery, considering that he had broken his one remaining good leg. Khorne must have been pleased about this kill, because the guarding Eagle MVP rolled a strength upgrade. |
