It was a rainy day, so the dwarves chose to kick. The rats failed to pick up the slippery ball for 5 turns, making the coach think their sure hands weren't that sure. During these five turns, even the short-legged dwarves had managed to waddle up to the ball area. Picked up the ball and stumbled on into a touchdown.
The rats still failed to pick up the ball the next drive. But luckily the dwarves failed their first foul of the match, and the ref wasn't pleased with how the match was turning out. So he ignored the bribe, and gave a card.
This allowed the rats to gather up the ball and equalize.
Next half, there was just not enough rats on the field to hinder dwarven movement, so a quick score was inevitable.
RBK then started the last drive with a blitz. Sabotaging any quick touchdown the rats might have constructed. But although they could not win, it was not possible to prevent the gutter from passing the defenses either.
All in all it was a peculiar game, with some bad luck on both sides. Including something as rare as a dwarven pass! |
