The rain was pouring as the players entered the pitch, however the weather gods wanted a good view of the match, and as soon as Brainz n' Waffles kicked the ball the skies opened and the sun shone warm and very bright on the pitch.
Not much happened during the first half, one of the wights on the Broken Energy Potion team tore an arm off a zombie. It's arm quickly regenerated.
The shambling undead failed to score after one of their own players went down early on a drive. With no rerolls left, an early turnover left the ball carrier vulnerable to a blitz. The necromantic couldn't take advantage of the free ball as both their werewolves had been knocked off the pitch and the half ended in 0-0.
Beowulf made it back to the pitch in the second half, but was mire interested in surfing an opposition player before running back towards the loose ball. He eventually picked it up and after some zig-zag across the pitch went for a go for it score.
The shambling undeads did not give up here, but a failed pass made it difficult for them to score. And so the match ended up 1-0 in favor of brainz n waffles. |
